Robert "Bob" C. Haeger, age 88, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Windsor's Johnson Health Care Center. He was born December 26, 1923 in Aurora, IL.

Bob served in the Army during World War II in Europe. After the war he graduated from the University of Illinois. Not long afterwards Bob entered the Insurance industry and grew a local business in the Wheaton area that became Langan, Haeger, Vincent and Born. He retired in 1986. Bob was an avid golfer and loved to travel with his wife. He was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton.

He is survived by his wife of more than 65 years, Natalie "Twinks" Haeger; his three sons, Robert (Kate) Haeger of Wheaton, IL, Steve (Laife) Haeger of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Brad (Jan) Haeger of Mill Creek, WA; and four grandchildren, Matt (Rachel) and Dan, Jeff and Mike.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Haeger; and his sister, Helen Angell.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Windsor Park Manor, 124 Windsor Park Dr., in Carol Stream, IL. Interment will be private at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
