Paul W. Fromer, age 84, a resident of Downers Grove, IL, died Saturday, December 9, 2012, at in Downers Grove, IL. He was born December 22, 1927 in Elmira, NY.

Paul served as a staff member for InterVarsity in their Southwest Region. Later he became an editor of InterVarsity's HIS Magazine, He then was a professor of writing in Wheaton College's English Department for 26 years. During that time he also acted as Deputy Editor at Christianity Today. He was the editor for Billy Graham's book, Angels.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; three children, Joel (Lee) of Chicago, IL, David of Oregon, and Ruth (Bob) Fox of California; three grandchildren, Joel, Kathryn and Becca; and his nephew, Paul (Tonia) Fletcher of California.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Fletcher.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at College Church, 332 E. Seminary Ave. in Wheaton, IL.
