Louise Massey (nee Lockwood), age 96, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, went home to see her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
Louise was born October 12, 1921 in Newark, New Jersey. She married Craig Massey in 1941. Together they dedicated their lives to serving the Lord through pastorates in Mt. Morris, New York; Altoona, Pennsylvania; Des Plaines, Illinois and Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Later they traveled throughout the country doing marriage and family living seminars in connection with Moody Bible Institute and Family Life Radio. Because of Craig's eyesight, Louise did all the bookkeeping, scheduling and driving for the seminars and often said her spiritual gift was driving.
After Craig's death in 1999, Louise moved to Windsor Park where she was involved in teaching English as a second language and playing in the hand bell choir. She attended Wheaton Bible Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Weddle, and her son, Roger (Sally) Massey; her grandchildren: Kelli (Steve) Wick, Jeff (Cindy) Weddle; Beth Massey and Lindy (Andrew) Dahl; and her great grandchildren: Chloe, Mallory and Carter Wick and Belinda, Elizabeth and Jacob Weddle.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Massey; and her son-in-law, Dr. Ken Weddle.
